1.Don Bosco School, Katihar is a Christian Minority Institution and as such the norms for a minority institution are applicable in the admission procedure. Date of Distribution of forms: Tuesday 1st Sept.2026 to Saturday 28th Nov.2026. (Except on Sundays and Holidays).

2. The Admission form with Prospectus can be procured either by downloading online from our website www.donboscoschoolkatihar.com or by collecting them directly from the school office, for Rs.1500/- only.

3. Eligibility Age Group: Children born between 01.07.2021 – 30.06.2022. (4.9years to 5.9years)

4. Date for Submission of Forms: 9th Dec. and 10th December 2026 between 9.30 am – 1.30 pm. If it’s made online it can be uploaded and submitted on any day by 28th November, 2026.

5. At the time of submission of Application forms kindly bring along the following documents. Those applying online may scan the Admission form and the required documents and upload them through school E-mail Id: donboscokatihar@gmail.com.

A. 3 recent (not more than a month old) passport size photos of the candidate.

B. A recent Post card size (6x4inch) photograph of the child with the parents (without the cap).

C. Photocopy of the Birth Certificate (Municipality). Original Certificates are to be shown for Verification at the time of submission of the Form. The Form may not be accepted without the Photocopy of the Birth Certificate.

D. Proof of the Residential Address: Aadhar Card of both the parents and a child. (But not affidavits).

E. Photocopy of the recent Progress Report from the school where the child is studying presently.

F. If belongs to SC/ST: Photo copy of the Cast/Tribe Certificate of the Child.

G. For Christians only: Baptism Certificate and a letter of Introduction from the Parish Priest/Pastor.

6. Failure to comply with any of the requirements mentioned above or incomplete application Form presented, may disqualify the candidate.

7. Written Test will be held on 12th December 2026. (Time - 10:00am to 12:00pm.)

8. At the time of submission of Application Form, you will be given a Card mentioning the date of interaction (between 8th January – 9th January, 2027). Both the parents MUST be present with the child for the mandatory Interaction on the specified date. No other person will be allowed for the Interaction.

8. The Interaction and written test is no guarantee for Admission. Failure to turn up for Interaction on the specified date and time will disqualify the candidate.

9. Original Birth Certificate (Hospital discharge Certificate/Nursing Home Card) Birth Registration Certificate from Municipality/Panchayat and the Original of the Latest Progress Report along with a photocopy are to be brought at the time of interaction. They will be given back after verification.

10. The final selection is based on the application Form, verification of documents, written test, and the Interaction with the parents and candidate.

11. List of selected candidates for Class UKG 2027-2028 will be published on Saturday, 16th January, 2027 at the School gate & School Notice Board by 3.00 pm.

12. Recommendations are not entertained and they will lessen your child’s chance of getting admitted to the school
